The device has an inlet-sided storage box (15), an outlet-sided storage box (19) and cooling areas that are arranged between the storage boxes. The cooling area is divided into a main area (12) and a low temperature area (13). A valve (18) is provided in the box (15), where the valve opens or closes the low temperature area with the main area depending on operating parameters. The box (15) has a media inlet (33a) for a low temperature media conductor (33). Another media inlet (34a) is provided in an area (16) for another conductor (34) for cooling an internal combustion engine (23). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a cooling device in a cooling circuit of a vehicle for cooling an internal combustion engine. |
