PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load measuring device for a multi-stage mast type forklift capable of always performing correct measurement of load in the forklift in which a lift cylinder of a mast device is formed in a plurality of stages. SOLUTION: In the mast device for the load measuring device, first and second lift cylinders are constituted by two stages. On a memory part 33, parameters regarding the respective stages are previously stored. Further, the load measuring device is provided with a lift switch 28 for detecting which stage first and second lift cylinders lifts a lift bracket; and steps 13, 14 for switching the parameters used in CPU 32 and step S15 based on a detection signal of the lift switch 28.
