<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holding structure that facilitates removal of a lens from lens frames, enables recycling of the removed lens, and excels in position accuracy when the lens is held. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lens holding structure includes the inner frame holding the lens, and the outer frame for controlling the position of the lens in the direction of an optical axis. The lens is held in the inner frame by its being firmly inserted therein. A regulating face is formed for positioning the firmly inserted lens relative to the outer frame in the direction of the optical axis. The inner and the outer frames are separated from each other in the direction of the optical axis. The inner frame positioned by the regulating face provided for positioning the lens and the outer frame in the direction of the optical axis is fixed to the outer frame.
