<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially completely wash out soil or the like attached to Daikon radish (Japanese radish) or the like without peeling skin of the Daikon radish or the like in a cleaning machine of the Daikon radish or the like, equipped with a plurality of roll brushes and pushing brushes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cleaning machine for the root vegetable is constituted as follows. A pressurized water cleaning part 15 is equipped with the roll brushes 21b, a delivering pushing brush 231, a low-speed pushing brush 232, and pressurized water-feeding pipes 321 and 322. Both of the pressurized water-feeding pipes jet pressurized water to the Daikon radish 41 cleaned by a preliminary cleaning part 12 and rotating between the first and the second roll brushes 21b. The Daikon radish 41 rotating between a first and a second roll brushes 21b is moved to the interval between the third and fourth roll brushes by the delivering pushing brush 231 when being pushed out by the following Daikon radish, and rotates, and further when being pushed out by the following Daikon radish, the Daikon radish is moved to a discharging table 132 of a finishing cleaning part 13.
