PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for varying the inlet air flow of a gas turbine engine capable of preventing generation of turbulent flow in the air flow into a fan blade by separating the air flow from the negative pressure side surface by the air leaking and flowing to the negative pressure side surface of a flap from the positive pressure side surface of an inlet guide blade assembly of the gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: A front frame includes a strut 60 in which a trailing edge is recessed with respect to a side wall so that the side wall 74 extends in the downstream direction from the rear edge 78, and a flap 62 which is pivotably rotated around a spindle 92. The position of the spindle 92 is selected so that a front edge of the flap 62 is located on the upstream side of the rear end of the side wall 74 of the strut 60.
