<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication device of an internal combustion engine having a micro bubble generator small in size, manufacturable at low cost, and capable of generating micro bubbles of a proper amount according to the state of the internal combustion engine and mixing the micro bubbles in oil. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lubrication device 10 of an internal combustion engine 30 includes: an oil pump 80 for sucking oil 148 for lubrication from an oil sump 50d in which the oil 148 is reserved; an oil supply passage 100 for supplying the oil 148 from the oil sump 50d to the oil pump 80; an air supply passage 102 for supplying air to the oil supply passage 100; and the micro bubble generator 106 for generating micro bubbles for increasing the lubricating performance of the oil 148 based on the oil 148 and air. In the lubrication device 10 of the internal combustion engine 30, a mechanical opening/closing means 103 for opening and closing the air supply passage 102 according to the state of the internal combustion engine 30 is installed in the air supply passage 102.
