PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device for selectively traveling a road easy to travel. SOLUTION: The road width of a road 32 is displayed larger than that of a road 31, since the road 32 is a four lane road whereas the road 31 is a double lane road although the roads 31 and 32 are of the same road type. The road width of a road 33 is displayed small as compared with those of the roads 31 and 32, since the road 33 is a road where accidents occur often although it is a national four lane road.
