<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost and high accurate AD converter circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the AD converter circuit provided with a reference voltage generating circuit 12 for generating a plurality of reference voltages "Vref", a plurality of comparators 22 for comparing a voltage "Vi" of a signal with any one of the plurality of reference voltages, and an operation circuit 15 for producing output data indicating a voltage level of a signal by calculating comparison results of the plurality of comparators, the number of the plurality of comparators 22 is larger than the number obtained by subtracting one from the voltage level number to be indicated by the output data, and the operation circuit 15 determines at least a part of the voltage level of the signal based on a comparison results of a first comparator and a second comparator among the plurality of comparators.
