<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent to make analysis of the hexa-damping result of inputted data containing secrecy information from being difficult and to prevent the figure length of the secrecy information from being grasped, in an image forming apparatus with a hexa-damping function for the inputting data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The data are received and analyzed (ST1 and 2). When the data are to be a command having the secrecy information as a parameter (ST3:YES), the parameter part of the command is converted into a character string data with a fixed length such as **** regardless of the length of the parameter part, and then, a hexa-damping printing is executed (ST4 and 5).
