PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for a vertical pipe which is easily attached/detached to/from an upper end opening part of the vertical pipe, and excellent in execution property, accordingly, even when there is provided a communication body across the inside and the outside of the vertical pipe. SOLUTION: The lid 10 has a top plate 12 and a cutout part 14 formed in the top plate 12, and is attached to an upper end opening part 104 of a vertical pipe 102 to prevent ingress of foreign matters in the vertical pipe 102. The top plate 12 is formed in, for example, a disk shape, and covers the upper end opening part 104 of the vertical pipe 102 from the upper side. The cutout part 14 is formed to cut out an outer circumferential edge of the top plate 12 inwardly. A communication body 50 across the inside and the outside of the vertical pipe 102 is inserted in the cutout part 14. A fitting part 16 is formed on the top plate 12 along the outer circumferential edge of the top plate 12. The fitting part 16 has a substantially cylindrical shape in which a part of its circumferential wall is separated by the cutout part 14, and is fitted to an upper end of the vertical pipe 102.
