PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage pressing apparatus which can be easily made compact. SOLUTION: The multistage pressing apparatus 1 comprises: a multistage press 2 where a plurality of press dies 21 are arranged side by side in a vertical direction, and, by closing the plurality of press dies 21 in a vertical direction at once, a plurality of bodies to be formed are press-formed at once; and a conveying machine 3 taking in/out the bodies to be formed to/from the multistage press 2. The conveying machine 3 comprises: a movable shaft 31 erected in a vertical direction; and arms 33 fitted to the movable shaft 31 in a horizontal direction. The movable shaft 31 is composed so as to perform vertical motion and turning around an axis in a vertical direction. The arms 33 perform vertical motion and turning with the vertical motion and turning of the movable shaft 31. By the vertical motion and turning of the arms 33, a plurality of hand parts 32 provided to the plurality of arms 33 respectively can take in/out the plurality of bodies to be formed to/from the respective plurality of press dies 21 at once.
