Provided are a communication device and a content management method capable of making a content, which the user wants to watch and listen, correspond to a renderer, which the user wants to use preferentially, and also capable of storing the renderer priority information corresponding to acquired content information. A controller unit (22) in the communication device (2) acquires renderer information of a render (3). A server unit (23) in the communication device (2) generates, according to the renderer information acquired by the controller unit (22), a virtual folder provided for each renderer and storing a content reproducible by the render (3) and also extracts, according to the renderer information, a content reproducible by the render (3) to store the content into the corresponding virtual folder provided for each renderer. This makes it possible to hold a content management state corresponding to a renderer environment. |
