A FILTER FOR A HAND DRYER

There is provided a filter arrangement (100) for a hand dryer (10), the filter arrangement5 (100) comprising a filter housing (106) removably insertable into a hand dryer (10) and a filter (120, 122) located in the filter housing (106), the filter housing (106) defining a sump (130) having a base surface, wherein a drain aperture(135a)is formed in the base surface and a plug (135b) is removably located in the drain aperture(135a). By providing a drain aperture (135a) and a removable plug (135b), when the sump requires 10 cleaning, a user can simply flush clean water into the sump (130) to remove deposited slurry and particulates fromthe sump (130). The waste water and entrained particulates and slurry flow through the drain aperture (135a) to be captured in a suitable receptacle, such as a bucket.
