<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine having a jackpot pocket opened/closed so as to be definitely confirmed by a player while the payout of prize balls is minimized. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A game board 101 is provided with a jackpot pocket-opening/closing device 109 having a jackpot pocket. A control section controls a long hit game in which the jackpot pocket is opened and fifteen round games allowing entrance of game balls into the jackpot pocket are performed, and a short hit game in which the fifteen round games are performed and the total opening time of the jackpot pocket during the whole round games is set smaller than that in the long hit game. The control section controls a pseudo door 130 provided in the game board 101 during at least the short hit game to operate the pseudo door 130 according to the operation of the jackpot pocket-opening/closing device 109.
