<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device which is light in weight and which can be miniaturized in the radial direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the suspension device S provided with a motion converting mechanism T, which converts the linear motion of a linear motion member 1 into the rotating motion of a rotating member 2, and a motor M, which is connected to the rotating member 2 in the motion converting mechanism T, wire members W, one ends of which are connected to the motor M and the other ends of which are connected to the linear motion member 1, are provided to regulate the maximum extended length by the wire members W.
