PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment capable of preventing a wrong operation in the water. SOLUTION: A cellular phone unit 1 has: an operation section 11; an operation detection section 101 for detecting a pressing operation to the operation section 11; a control section 103 for controlling a prescribed operation when the operation detection section 101 detects the pressing operation; and a water pressure measurement section 102 for measuring a water pressure. Also, the control section 103 suppresses control over the prescribed operation when the water pressure measurement section 102 measures a water pressure not less than a prescribed value.
