The present invention provides a device for seeding and growing microorganisms. The device comprises a base adapted to accommodate a substrate for growing microorganisms, a cover adapted to close the base and an opening provided at said cover or on said base, which can be sealed by a suitable closing member. The present invention further provides a method and a kit for encouraging treatment compliance utilizing the device in accordance with the invention.
