The device has a double-side working adhesive foil (2) with an adhesive surface attached on a web (1), and a liner (3) pressed on another adhesive surface of the adhesive foil by a pressing device. The pressing device is implemented as a nozzle (4) for guiding compressed air that blows on the liner. The nozzle is implemented movably along the length of the adhesive foil. Distance and/or a nozzle inclination angle of the nozzle are adjustable to the adhesive foil. The nozzle is arranged along the length of the adhesive foil. An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching a liner of a web to another web for preparation of a flying roll change in a web-fed rotary printing machine.
