<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water atomized Fe powder for a magnetic compact having a reduced deforming resistance in its compression molding and a reduced annealing heat-treatment temperature for removing strains, and provide a compact excelling in the magnetic characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The soft magnetic powder for a magnetic compact is a water-atomized Fe powder wherein at least one kind selected from the group comprising Nb, Ta, Ti, Zr, V is contained by 0.001-0.03 atom%, and at least one kind selected from among Nb, Ta, Ti, Zr or V and the particles of containing oxygen as a main component and having an average grain size of not smaller than 0.02μm and not larger than 0.5μm are deposited in the parent phase of the Fe powder. Furthermore, in a manufacturing method of the soft magnetic powder for a magnetic compact, at least one kind selected from the group comprising Nb, Ta, Ti, Zr, V is added to it, and the powder is heat-treated in a reduced atmosphere containing hydrogen. According to this method, gas impurities, especially oxygen are reduced and made harmless, and the magnetic characteristics of the Fe powder and the compact can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
