<p>The tablets, for testing the sensitivity of germs to antibiotics and chemotherapeutics, contg. active agents, a macromolecular binder and a wetting agent, esp. Na2SO4, also contain an absorbent, pref. starch, to retain and bind excess moisture from the medium, and changes in the wt. ratio of the components, esp. increasing the wetting agent content and/or lowering the binder content, are used to improve the diffusion of the active agents into the medium and to prevent any physicomechanical inadequacies of the tablets as a result of any variation in the compression ratio.</p> |
