<p>PURPOSE: An optical waveguide for a touch panel and the touch panel using the same are provided to have an LGP(Light Guide Plate) for a touch panel, thereby suppressing emission of light emitted from a section of a core and accurately detecting the location of a finger contacting a screen. CONSTITUTION: An end part of an over clad layer(4) coats the section of a core(3A) emitting light. The end part of the over clad layer is formed by lens units(41A,41B) and the lens surfaces(40A,40B) of the lens unit has a spherical surface form. The section of the core on which the emitted light is incident is located in the other side part of a screen of a display. The other end part of the over clad layer coats the section of the core on which the emitted light is incident.</p> |
