The invention relates to a coaxial probe (1) for mating with a coaxial connector (4) which is mounted on a printed circuit board. The coaxial probe (1) comprises a housing (5), an outer contact portion (21) which extends away from the housing (5) in a probe insertion direction (I) and an inner contact portion (17) that is adapted to be moved in the probe insertion direction (I) relative to the housing (5). The housing (5) supports both the inner and outer contact portion (21). To compensate misalignments of the probe the outer contact portion (21) is connected to the housing (5) by an elastically deformable support means (19). The support means (19) is adapted to allow a movement of the outer contact portion (21) relative to the housing (5) in the probe insertion direction.
