<p>The temp. in the interior of a Hall type electrolytic Al fusion extraction cell is measured by a pyrometer, which is introduced through a hole in one of the side wall carbon blocks above the cell floor level. The pyrometer consits of a thermocouple in a sheath made either from the nitrides of Si or B or the borides of Zr or Ti. Continuous temp. measurement facilitates process control.</p> |
