METHOD FOR DETECTING DISTANCE AND RADAR APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for detecting distance and radar apparatus using the same are provided to detect accurate distance by reducing an interference signal of multiple users. CONSTITUTION: One frequency sweep sequence is allocated from a plurality of frequency sweep sequences. Frequency sweep sequences are comprised of frequency sweeps mapped to a plurality of sub-durations one-by-one. The frequency-modulated signal is generated according to the allocated frequency sweep sequence. The signal including the reflected wave of the transmitted signal is received. The bit signal is generated from the transmitted signal and the received signal. A peak frequency is detected by analyzing the frequency of the bit signal for sub-duration. The distance from the target reflecting the transmitted signal is detected based on the detected peak frequency.
