PURPOSE: A broadcast channel communications apparatus and a method thereof in a broadband wireless communications system through broadcast channel in a broadband wireless communications system are provided to secure offer of the basic information required for the signal receive of the terminal by supplying BCH(Broadcast Channel). CONSTITUTION: A BCH1 generator(902) modulates and encodes BCH1 information according to an MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level. A mapper(908) maps the BCH1 signal in the in advance promised location. The mapper maps the BCH2 signal in the location according to the BCH2 transmission scheme. A transmitter transmits the BCH1 signal and BCH2 signal.
