PURPOSE: A navigation terminal and a vehicle speed regulating area information providing method using the same are provided to help the driver to drive the vehicle at a proper speed in a vehicle speed regulating area by indicating a guidance message. CONSTITUTION: A GPS(Global Positioning System) module(10) receives a GPS signal from a satellite, recognizes the current position, and creates a map image corresponding to the current position. A display module(12) displays the map image and various OSD images created by an OSD(On Screen Display) generator(14). A CPU(13) controls the OSD generator to display a user interface screen for input of a vehicle speed regulating area, and controls a navigation module to display a vehicle speed regulating area notifying message and the speed limit.
