METHOD OF ADAPTIVE RATE CONTROL IN FRAME-LAYER FOR REAL-TIME H.264/AVC

PURPOSE: A method of adaptive rate control in a frame-layer for real-time H.264/avc is provided to reduce the amount of calculation in the process of predicting the amount of bits of a frame. CONSTITUTION: In order to apply the predictable bit amount according to a QP(Quantization Parameter) value, the amount of bits depending on QP is obtained based on the allocation-available bits of a predicted current frame(S300). The amount of bits changed depending on the QP to determine the reflected QP value that adopts the changed amount of bits. The amount of target bits is determined for the predictable frame, and the QP value of the frame to be encoded is determined by using the predicated amount of bits as a parameter(S400).
