A method for hot operational testing of combustion engine after its manufacturing or repair includes sequential operation of the engine at idle stroke and under load at which one includes stepped double fuel supply to cylinders by cycles at all modes. To diesel fuel one adds run-in additive. Quality of running-in is controlled by parameter of stabilization of fuel flow rate that is measured in real time scale.
