<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variations in sound volume when a sound input from the external is replaced by one or more channels of multi-channel sounds generated by a plurality of microphones. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Sound signals of a plurality of channels are generated from a plurality of sound signals obtained by a plurality of sound collection means, a channel to be replaced by an external sound signal transmitted from an external apparatus out of the generated sound signals of the plurality of channels is specified, and the channel is replaced after a sound level of the external sound signal is controlled so as to approach a sound level of the sound signal of the channel to be replaced.
