<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher for preventing a temperature rise in load control means (triac) even when doors of the dishwasher are suddenly opened during the operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes: a dishwasher body 1 having an opening 2; an upper door 4 arranged in the opening 2; a lower door 5; the load control means 11 having the triac for driving the load of a washing pump 20 using an induction motor; a start switch 16 for starting and temporarily stopping the operation of the dishwasher; door opening/closing detecting means 27 for detecting the opening/closing of the upper door 4 and the lower door 5; and also a controller 12 for controlling the load control means 11 for driving the washing pump 20 by half-wave conduction by each wave or a plurality of waves when the temporary stop is inputted from the start switch 16 or the door opening/closing detecting means 27 detects the opening of the door.
