The invention relates to a cyclopeptide of the following formula: wherein: - S1 is a target peptide sequence of an MMP enzyme, that is a peptide sequence that can be identified and cleaved by an MMP enzyme; - M1 and M2 are independently a single bond, a hydrocarbonated group or an amino acid residue, optionally carrier of an aromatic side group; - X and Y are independently a single bond, and a linear or branched hydrocarbonated group that can have, in its chain, at least one heteroatom or an amino acid residue. Said cyclopeptides can be used as MMP protease enzyme inhibitors.
