A system for removing particulates and condensates from a cooling airstream circuit, especially for plastic extrusion equipment, has a modular assembly comprising a base section (1) containing a particulate filter (1.3), a middle section (2) containing a heat exchanger to condense any liquids, and a top section (3) comprising a cover. The inlet airstream is directed onto a thrust plate (1.2) to prevent particulates, e.g. PVC particles, from directly striking the filter. The liquid content is condensed on a heat exchanger (2.2) with the module evacuated via a venting port (3.2) leading to liquid ring vacuum pumps. The condensate drips over the filter and collects in the base of the system with the collected level monitored by a level glass (1.5).
