PURPOSE: A driving control method for a coal-fired power plant is provided to save oil burner driving fuel for a fifth and a sixth differentiator by delaying oil burner ignition time. CONSTITUTION: A driving control method for a coal-fired power plant comprises following steps. An oil burner for a first and a second differentiator formed at the lower part of a boiler is ignited(S210). The first and the second differentiator are operated, the boiler combustion gas flows in, the inside is preheated(S215). A first and a second coal feeder are operated(S220). The operation of the oil burner the first and the second differentiator is stopped(S225). The oil burner for the third and the fourth differentiator is ignited(S230). A third and a fourth differentiator are operated, the boiler combustion gas flows in and the inside is preheated(S235). The third and the fourth coal feeder are operated(S240). The operation of the oil burner for the third and the fourth differentiator is stopped(S245). The drive command is outputted to the fifth and the sixth differentiator(S310). The fifth and the sixth differentiator are operated, boiler combustion gas flows in, and the inside is preheated(S315). The fifth and the sixth coal feeder are operated(S325).
