<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor which requires a smaller amount of oil to be supplied to a low pressure chamber than a conventional rotary compressor while preventing volume efficiency degradation of the low pressure chamber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotary compressor 1 comprises a cylinder 9 having a cylinder chamber B1, two head members 12, 13 arranged on both sides of the cylinder 9, a blade 8b extending from the outer peripheral face of a roller 8a arranged in the cylinder chamber B1 for partitioning the cylinder chamber B1 into a high pressure chamber HB1 and the low pressure chamber LB1 together with the roller 8a, and a high pressure chamber side bush 15 and a low pressure chamber side bush 14 arranged outside the cylinder chamber B1 on both sides of the blade 8b, respectively. A clearance DL formed between the low pressure chamber side bush 14 and each of the two head members 12, 13 is smaller than a clearance DH formed between the high pressure chamber side bush 15 and each of the head members 12, 13.
