<p>An anesthetic container (100) includes a bottle (102) having a wall (108) defining a receptacle (110) and a neck (112) with a passage (114) in fluid communication with the receptacle, a valve assembly (104) including a flange (140), and a ferrule (106) disposed over at least a portion of the flange of the valve assembly and about at least a portion of the neck of the bottle to secure the valve assembly to the bottle. One of the wall of the bottle, the flange of the valve assembly or a wall of the ferrule has at least one vent (204, 250, 270) formed, at least in part, therein that permits air trapped between the ferrule and the valve assembly or the bottle to escape.</p> |
