Troubles due to leak defects of a photovoltaic power generating device are eliminated. Provided is a method for repairing a photovoltaic power generating device provided with a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements connected in series.  The method is provided with a discriminating step of discriminating photoelectric conversion elements having leak defects, and a short-circuiting step of short-circuiting between the front surface electrode and the rear surface electrode of the discriminated photoelectric conversion element or between the rear surface electrode of the discriminated photoelectric conversion element and the rear surface electrode of the adjacent photoelectric conversion element.
