PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket and a lighting fixture in which a lamp can be easily mounted. SOLUTION: The lamp socket 1 is provided with a socket body 9 retaining a pair of conductive blocks 12, and a support body 10 supporting the socket body 9 in free rotation between an open position in which the lamp 5 can be attached/detached and a closed position in which the lamp 5 can not be attached/detached. At mounting of the lamp 5 on the lamp socket 1, if only each lamp pin 4 is led into each pin lead-in port 49 to press the lamp 5 downward, each lamp-side contact part 8 of the conductive block 12 is given a downward pressing force from each lamp pin 4 for the socket body 9 to rotate toward a closed position against the support body 10, so that there is no need of separate operation for rotating the socket body 9. Therefore, it is easier to mount the lamp 5 than in case it is necessary to rotate the socket body 9 in mounting the lamp 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
