<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the angle (spray angle) of the center axis of the sprayed stream from an ionizing probe with respect to the inlet end of an ion introducing pipe and to effectively put the opening formed to a housing to practical use for the purpose of the adjustment of the angle of the center axis of the sprayed stream. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The housing 23 having an ionizing chamber 2 formed therein has probe mounting openings 24 and 25 at positions where spray angles become 45° and 90°. The ionizing probe 20 can be mounted on both probe mounting openings 24 and 25 and a window member 30 having a transparent window for seeing through the ionizing chamber 2 can be also mounted. Then, when the ionizing probe 20 is mounted on either one of the probe mounting openings 24 and 25, the window member 30 is attached to the other unused probe mounting opening. By this constitution, the contamination state or the like in the vicinity of the inlet end 30a of the ion introducing pipe 30 can be confirmed through the transparent window of the window member 30.
