IRONING BOARD HAVING PLATFORM FOR STEAM GENERATOR

An ironing board (100) and a platform (201) for an ironing board are disclosed. The ironing board comprises an ironing surface (110) and legs (120, 122a, 122b) to support the ironing surface. The platform couples to the ironing board beneath the ironing surface and is arranged to support a base unit of a steam generator type iron. Different embodiments for coupling the platform to the ironing board are described. In one embodiment the legs of the ironing board cross at a shaft (130) and the platform couples to the shaft. The platform is further supported by a brace (206) resting on one of the legs.
