<p>Granular solids with rough or fissured surfaces, esp. minerals, are treated with known metal complex salts which display complex chemical reactions and/or effect bipolar reactions between metal salt solns and the mineral granules, in solution form. The additives are mixed in continuously or batchwise in amount dependent on the previously-determined moisture content of the minerals. Pre-drying of mineral aggregates before mixing, as in preparation of concrete for road-building, is eliminated together with dust removal equipment.</p> |
