<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health supplement capable of synergistically increasing effects of bamboo powder and salacia dried extract powder, such as health improvement and health promotion by mixing the powders, and extremely remarkable in immediate effectivity of the effects. <P>SOLUTION: This health supplement has as the main components, bamboo powder which has 5-10% of water and a grain size of 50-100 mesh, and salacia dried extract powder which has an α-glucosidase inhibition activity IC 50% value (concentration of a test substance required to inhibit 50% of oxygen activity) of ≤120 μg/ml, and an extract content (salacia-containing concentration) of ≥65%. The health supplement contains in the main components, high-molecular water-soluble chitosan and/or Lactobacillus sporogenes, and further appropriately contains at least one kind selected from black vinegar unrefined lee powder, bamboo charcoal powder, and calcium powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
