<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for an inkjet color filter, the ink excellent in discharge stability of liquid drops, from which a color filter with suppressed density unevenness and color unevenness in each portion and excellent in lightness and a contrast ratio can be manufactured, to provide a color filter having suppressed density unevenness and color unevenness in each portion and excellent lightness and a contrast ratio, and to provide an image display device and electronic equipment having the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The ink for a color filter is used for manufacturing a color filter by in an inkjet system and contains a colorant, a liquid medium and a vinylether polymer expressed by formula (1).
