<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for obtaining desired brightness and color saturation of an image by a control system with high adaptability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes: an LCD panel 111 with a red, a green or a blue color filter; each light source 121 for emitting a red, a green or a blue light beam to each part area of its back face; each RGB sensor 122S for detecting a detection signal according to each light amount of the red, green or blue light beam emitted to the back face corresponding to each light source 121; a matrix memory for storing a cross-talk amount which the light beam from each light source 121 gives to each sensor signal, as a cross-talk matrix; a target sensor value memory for storing a target sensor value which is the sensor signal from each light amount detection sensor in a predetermined condition; and a circuit section 20 which outputs each light amount control signal for controlling each light source 121 from a current value which is a current sensor signal from each RGB sensor 122S, the target sensor value and the cross-talk matrix.
