1282694 Winches BERGENS MEKANISKE VERKSTEDER AS 13 Jan 1971 [23 Jan 1970] 1698/71 Heading B8B A winching arrangement having an hydraulically operated hauling winch 7 with two grooved drums 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and an hydraulically operated storage winch 5 to maintain the cable taut between the two winches, comprises motors 2, 3 of the two winches connected in parallel with a constant volume pump 1, the motor 3 of the storage winch 5 and the pump 1 having a common pressure line and a common return line whereby the winch 5 constantly applies a torque in the hauling direction, and the hauling winch being reversible through a regulating valve 4. The latter controls the winch 7 for winding-in, paying-out or hydraulically locking the winch whereby the winch 5 only may be used for rapid wind-in. The speed of the hauling winch 7 is controlled by a by-pass passage in the valve 4. When the winch 7 is paying out, the motor 3 functions as a pump driven by the cable whereby the output from the pump 1 to the motor 2 is supplemented. |
