<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement print that keeps printing form and excels in visibility on paper having small width even though an application program or a printer driver mounted in a host computer is not changed. <P>SOLUTION: The control method for a printer which performs print based on print data transmitted from the host computer includes: a step S105 of extracting data attribute included in the print data and allotting the print data to a divided data area for every data attribute; a step of setting the divided data area to be in a predetermined print range in accordance with the data attribute; real print data generation steps (steps S122, S107, S133, S134 and S111) of generating real print data in accordance with the data attribute from the print data allotted to the divided data area; and a print implementing step S113 of printing the real print data in the print range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
