<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll fluid machine in which the stability of the performance of a rotation stopping mechanism is improved by easily securing the durability and the accuracy of the rotation stopping mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotation stopping mechanism (44) of this scroll fluid machine (1) comprises a pin (46) which is supported on the movable scroll (22) side and which projects toward the frame (38) side and a hole (50) which is formed on a frame side and into which the pin is loosely fitted.
