PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor constituted so that dewing water is hard to adhere to a gas detection element. SOLUTION: A hydrogen sensor 1 is equipped with a housing 20 having a gas detecting chamber 25, in which a gas to be detected is taken inside and having an introducing port 24 of the gas to be detected in its lower part, a base 30 closing the vertical upper opening of the housing 20, and the gas detection elements 41 provided so as to be protruded vertically downward from the base 30 to detect the gas to be detected.
