<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle headlamp in which a solenoid 100 for a movable shade 30 to carry out the switching of light distribution can be simply assembled into a lamp chamber, and the smooth switching-over of light distribution can be guaranteed. <P>SOLUTION: The headlamp is provided with a lamp unit 18 in which a reflector 25 installed with a light source 23 is integrated with a movable shade 30 for light distribution switching in a lamp chamber 16 formed of a lamp body 12 and a front cover 14, a solenoid 100 for driving the movable shade is installed in the vicinity of the movable shade 30, and the movable shade 30 is operated in coordination with the advancing and retreating action of a plunger 130 of the solenoid 100 and the light distribution of the lamp unit 18 is switched over. A locking projection 144 for preventing the fall-off of the plunger is formed in a terminal cover 140 to be installed in a power feeding connector 120 provided in the vicinity of an entrance and exit 113 of the solenoid 100. Thereby, the plunger 130 does not arbitrarily fall off from the entrance and exit 113, and handling and assembly into the lamp unit 18 of the solenoid 100 become simple. Furthermore, a trouble in the driving of the solenoid 100 caused by the mixing of a foreign matter into the entrance and exit 113 is eliminated and the proper switching-over of the light distribution can be guaranteed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
