<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing belt used in a fixing device with a self temperature control function, and having a magnetic alloy layer and enhanced durability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixing belt 51 used in an induction heat generation system fixing device has an elastic layer 512 and the magnetic alloy layer 513 that is rendered ferromagnetic at a temperature lower than Curie point and consequently heat is generated, and that loses magnetism at a temperature equal to or higher than Curie point and consequently a quantity of heat generation decreases. The thickness of each of the layers is adjusted so that a neutral face free from extension and compression is present in the magnetic alloy layer 513 during rotating motion.
