The bearing housing has a bearing surface for mounting a shaft (22), by which a turbine wheel (16) and a compressor wheel (20) of an exhaust gas turbo charger (10) are coupled with one another in a rotating manner. The bearing surface is section wise coated with a sliding layer that has a fixed lubricant, particularly graphite or molybdenum sulfide or polytetrafluoroethylene or copper or tin or a tin bronze. The sliding layer has an organic polymer or a composite material, particularly a fiber reinforced material. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing an exhaust gas turbo charger of an internal-combustion engine.
